How to put vertical fondant stripes on a round cake. Roll the fondant into a long sausage shape and then use your rolling pin to roll out a thin strip long enough to go around your cake. Use your razor to make a straight cut. Using a ruler cut the bottom edge straight and to the measurements you worked out earlier.

For even stripes use a ruler to mark the horizontal sides of the rectangle before cutting out the stripes. I am making a round cake and want to do vertical fondant stripes of different colours all around the cake. These will go over the top of the cake the next tier.
